Bike routes from Rishikesh

Eight rides, sorted here by distance from closest to furthest. Each one links to a full page: real distances, honest road conditions, which bike to take and which to avoid, what it costs, and a turn-by-turn from someone who's actually ridden it.

Short rides — half a day or less

Waterfalls loop (25km) is the easiest ride on the list, good for a first day on a rented Activa. Neelkanth Mahadev (32km) and Kunjapuri sunrise (35km) are both doable before lunch if you start early.

Full-day and overnight rides

Chopta and Tungnath (165km) is where day-trip riding ends and proper touring starts — most riders split it over two days.

The Chardham routes

Kedarnath (216km to the roadhead), Badrinath (297km, ride to the temple door), and Auli (253km to Joshimath) each get their own page with honest road conditions and timing. If you're doing all four dhams, the full Chardham circuit walks through the complete 10-12 day itinerary.
