Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 on rent in Rishikesh

The outgoing Himalayan generation, and still one of the most trusted mountain bikes on Indian roads — simpler than the newer 450, air-cooled, and mechanically the bike that built the Himalayan's reputation for Chardham and Chopta riding in the first place. We keep it in the fleet specifically for riders who want that capability without paying for the newer engine.

  • Best for — and not great for

Best for: the same Chardham and Kedarnath routes as the 450, at a lower rental rate — the proven, simpler workhorse. It carries the same tall stance and long-travel suspension the Himalayan is known for, on an engine that mechanics across Uttarakhand have serviced for years — if something does need attention on the road, this is the easier bike to get fixed outside a major town.

Not great for: riders who want the newer engine's extra power and refinement — see the 450 for that. It's less powerful and less refined at speed than the 450, noticeable most on longer highway stretches between towns.

    411 or 450?

Both cover the same Chardham, Chopta and Kedarnath routes. The 411 rents for less and is mechanically simpler — a sensible choice if budget matters or you just want a proven bike without extra features. The Himalayan 450 is newer, more powerful, and liquid-cooled, at a higher rate. Tell us your budget and trip when you call and we'll point you to the right one rather than the one we'd rather rent out that day.

    Who rides this bike

Budget-conscious Chardham and Chopta riders, and returning customers who've ridden this exact generation before and know they like it. If you've never ridden a Himalayan and want the newest version regardless of cost, see the 450 instead.

What we check before you ride

Same pre-mountain checklist as every Himalayan in our fleet: chain tension and lubrication, brake pads front and rear, tyre pressure and tread depth, and clutch cable play, with a spare clutch cable and basic tool kit sent on any multi-day booking.
