Royal Enfield Hunter 350 on rent in Rishikesh

If this is your first time on a Royal Enfield, start here. The Hunter is noticeably lighter than the other three in our fleet, and that difference is most obvious exactly where it matters most for a nervous first-timer — at a dead stop, in a U-turn, threading through the market lane near the shop.

  • Best for — and not great for

Best for: town riding and switchbacks, first-time Enfield riders, light hill trips. At 181 kg it's the easiest of the four to tip back upright if you do drop it at a standstill, and it turns tighter and holds its balance better at walking pace than the Classic or Bullet.

Not great for: loaded multi-day touring — smaller tank than the Classic and Himalayan. If you're planning a multi-day Chardham trip with luggage and a pillion, the Himalayan or Classic will carry it more comfortably — see our Chardham rental page for what that trip actually needs.

    Who rides this bike

First-timers on a Royal Enfield, riders who want a geared bike but are nervous about weight and balance, and locals doing the daily run between Laxman Jhula, Tapovan and Ram Jhula who want something more capable than a scooty without the bulk of a Classic or Himalayan. If you already ride a heavier motorcycle at home, you may find this one feels almost too light after a day or two.

What we check before you ride

Same base checklist as every Enfield in our fleet — chain, brakes, tyre pressure and clutch — plus a specific check on the lighter frame's fasteners and mounts, since the Hunter tends to see the most stop-start town riding of any bike we have.

    One more thing worth knowing

Because the Hunter is the model we hand to the most first-time Enfield riders, it's also the bike we spend the most time briefing people on before they leave — how the clutch bite point feels different from a smaller commuter bike, how the front disc brake responds compared to a scooty's, and where the extra weight actually helps rather than hinders once you're moving. Ten minutes of that conversation in our yard saves a much worse ten minutes on the road later.
