Monthly bike and scooty rental in Rishikesh

If you're doing a 200hr or 300hr yoga teacher training, or just staying in Rishikesh for a few weeks, a daily rental stops making sense fast. This page is written for you specifically, not adapted from the general rental copy.

Who this is for

TTC students in Tapovan or Laxman Jhula on a 4-12 week course, remote workers riding out a long stay, and anyone who's decided they like it here enough to not book a return date yet. If that's not you, see our regular scooty or Royal Enfield rental pages instead.

What's included on a monthly

The maths vs. daily rental and vs. autos

Take the Honda Activa 125: the day rate times 30 costs considerably more than our published month rate of ₹9,000. Compare that against what you'd spend on autos and shared taxis for a month of daily trips into town and back to an ashram in Tapovan or Laxman Jhula — for most people doing that commute six days a week, the scooty is cheaper within the first two to three weeks, and after that it's pure savings, plus you're not waiting around for an auto at 6am before a training session.

The daily Tapovan / Laxman Jhula ashram commute

Most TTC schools sit up the hill in Tapovan, away from the market and the ghats. Walking it twice a day in the heat gets old by week two. A scooty turns a 20-25 minute walk into a 5-minute ride, which matters most on the mornings you're already running late for a 6am practice.

Documents for long rentals and foreign nationals

Same as a standard rental: original driving licence plus Aadhaar or passport. If you're a foreign national planning to ride anything over 50cc for a full month, make sure you've got an International Driving Permit sorted before you left home — it can't be issued once you're in India. A note for yoga schools

If you run a TTC or long-stay program in Tapovan, Laxman Jhula or Ram Jhula, we'll set your students up with a fixed monthly rate and a straightforward handover — no daily queue at our counter eating into your schedule. Ask about a referral arrangement when you call; a few schools nearby already send their students to us this way.

Here for weeks, not days? Ask about the monthly rate.

Frequently asked

I'm here for a 200hr or 300hr yoga TTC — is monthly worth it?

Almost always, if your course runs 3 weeks or longer. Work out the daily-rate total for your course length and compare it against the monthly rate below — the crossover point is usually around day 10-12.

What happens if the bike breaks down mid-rental?

Bring it in and we swap it for another from the fleet, no extra charge, no lost days. This is one of the real advantages of renting locally instead of long-term from an app-based aggregator.

Do I need different documents for a monthly rental?

Same documents as a daily rental — original licence plus Aadhaar or passport. Foreign nationals on a long stay should also see our foreigner's rental guide for IDP requirements.

Is servicing included in the monthly rate?

Yes — a mid-rental service is included, so you're not paying out of pocket for routine maintenance during your stay.

Can my yoga school get a group rate?

Yes, we work with a few ashrams and TTC schools already on referral arrangements. If you run a school, get in touch and we'll set up a fixed rate for your students.
