Royal Enfield Himalayan vs Classic 350 — which one for your trip?
Both are excellent bikes built for genuinely different jobs, and the "which is better" framing misses the point — the real question is which trip you're actually planning.
The Himalayan: built for the mountain
The Himalayan exists to handle unpredictable terrain without complaint. Long-travel suspension soaks up potholes and broken patches that would rattle a road bike apart — a real advantage on the way to Neelkanth or anywhere on the Chardham route. The upright riding position keeps fatigue down over a long day, and the ground clearance means a rough diversion doesn't end your trip.
Worth knowing: the seat height is taller than the Classic's, so shorter riders should test-sit it first. And it doesn't have the traditional Enfield "thump" — the engine note is more modern than classic purists tend to want.
The Classic 350: built for the road, and the photo
The Classic 350 is the bike most people picture when they picture a Royal Enfield in Rishikesh — that silhouette, that sound, a genuinely relaxed ride on good tarmac. The lower seat and easy low-speed handling make it comfortable in town and confident on the highway stretch to Haridwar.
Worth knowing: the suspension is stiffer than the Himalayan's, so rough patches transmit more directly, and ground clearance isn't built for anything beyond the occasional pothole.

The verdict
Take the Himalayan if your plans include long days in the saddle, higher altitude, or anything past smooth tarmac — Chardham, Chopta, Kunjapuri sunrise. Comfort on unpredictable roads matters more to you than a particular look or sound.
Take the Classic 350 if you're mainly exploring Rishikesh, Ram Jhula and Haridwar on paved roads and want the ride to feel as good as it looks. Style and that low-slung comfort matter more than all-terrain capability.
